EVERYONE'S favourite bear has visited York - attracting the attention of fans young and old.
Rupert the Bear was in town to help launch a National Trust membership drive from the trust's office in Stonegate.
The trust wants more people to join up to help with its ongoing projects to maintain the countryside, coastline and historic buildings in its care.
A spokesman said: "A small outlay gives unlimited days out, fun, events, walks and sheer enjoyment throughout the year.
"But each membership also provides valuable income to help the trust carry out its very valuable work."
Rupert said he had enjoyed his day. He said: "It's so much fun to come to York and meet everyone. I came to Stonegate, I came to play, and I saw everyone there on Friday."
