TOP feline fanciers have named a North Yorkshire kitten as one of the country's top cats.
Tabby Point Siamese Drestothril Demelza lives in Nun Monkton, near York, with breeder Christina Knowlson. Demelza appeared in Saturday's 25th Supreme Cat Show - known as the Crufts for Cats - and beat off nearly 2,000 others to take the Best Kitten in Show title.
Christina said: "I'm really thrilled. It is so nice to have a kitten from North Yorkshire win the prize. She has such a character and a lovely nature. The show didn't seem to bother her at all, she seemed to be lapping up the attention."
