THERE will be a familiar look to the Darlington front-line when the Minstermen arrive at Feethams.

Barry Conlon was City's leading goal-scorer for the 1999-2000 campaign, but after a loan spell at Colchester last term, was sold to Darlington for £50,000.

The former Republic of Ireland Under 21 striker has since struggled to settle in the North East, being shown almost as many red cards as the number of goals scored.

His latest indiscretion came in the 7-1 hammering by Scunthorpe last Saturday, when Conlon was given his marching orders by referee Paul Alcock after just seven minutes for violent conduct.

Former Leeds midfielder Mark Ford was also sent off in the first half of the defeat, but both he and Conlon will be available for tomorrow's derby.

New manager Tommy Taylor, who replaced Gary Bennett after only a few games into the season, has brought Brian Atkinson, Neil Wainwright and ex-Southampton midfielder Neil Maddison back into the squad, although he is likely to stick with the same 11 who started against Scunthorpe.

That means Conlon will be partnered by highly-rated new-signing Ian Clark, who netted on his debut against Rochdale.

Although a tough side at home, Darlington have suffered on their travels, and confidence will be at a low ebb following their humbling by Scunthorpe.

A lack of goals has been pin-pointed as their key problem, while they have also struggled to create many chances in the midfield, despite the signing of the experience Maddison, a player who has disappointed the Feethams' faithful.
