I REFER to your Man On The Bus article (November 26).
Regarding the journey time I suggest that your man on the bus would have had the sense to allow more time for delays on the A64, the diversion into and out of Copmanthorpe and traffic congestion on the approaches to the centre of York.
I consider only 11 minutes late upon arrival at York Station quite good.
Furthermore, Yorkshire Coastliner is deemed one of the best bus operating companies in the country.

...WITH reference your item about your man trying out the local buses (November 26), I hope that he soon tries the No. 27 route from Fulford, which takes passengers who want to go to Piccadilly on a scenic tour of the outskirts of York instead of going directly along Fulford Road.

Tilmire Close,
York.
