SCARBOROUGH manager Russell Slade is expected to sign defender Richard Dryden from Luton in a one month loan deal today.

"Richard is an experienced left sided defender who will give the team a nice balance and if things work out, the loan period may well be extended" said Slade.

Dryden, 32, has played at the highest level with Southampton and has had spells at several clubs, including Birmingham City, Bristol City and Notts County, where he first met up with Slade.

Meanwhile there is more good news for the manager, Scott Jordan has had no reaction to his injured ankle following his first game of the season on Saturday.

Former York City player Jordan did a solid job on the left hand side of midfield in the 1-0 win over Farnborough at the weekend and is now fitting in extra training to improve his fitness level.
