OLD Malton kept well in the Leeper Hare York and District premier division championship race with a 2-1 win at Crayke.

Neil Wilford put the visitors ahead and then ten minutes into the second half Phil Hill made it 2-0 to Old Malton.

Substitute Simon Wilson narrowed the gap for Crayke.

Two goals in the second half gave Kartiers a 2-0 win at home to New Earswick. Russell Seagrave netted with a volley from the edge of the box and Simon Winstanley scored with a header.

Because of league cup-ties these two games were the only premier division fixtures played.

Wigginton Black Horse managed to halt Thorpe's bid for a top-two place in division one as they drew 3-3.

Frankie Adams (2) and Jason Evans were the Black Horse marksmen.

St John's College won 3-0 at Civil Service to move into second place. Andy Stevens, Kevin Price and Mark Smith were their scorers. T&L Selby remain unbeaten in division two, although they have played only three league games due to success in cup competitions.

Darren Fawcett, with two goals, and Paul Tanton gave them a 3-1 win at Stillington, whose marksman was Andrew Bannerman.

Rawcliffe Rangers twice came from behind to salvage a point in their division three encounter at Wheldrake.

Nick Henshaw, John Scutt and Martin Holliday were on target for Wheldrake, with Phil Tilsley (2) and Alfie Dear scoring for Rangers, who move into second place in the table but they have played two more games than their rivals.

In Reserve B it was perhaps not surprising that mid-table teams Riccall and Easingwold should fight out a scoreless draw.

In Reserve C, Norton United managed their second win of the season with a 4-1 victory at home to Wheldrake.

Phil Southers (2), Sam Bothomley and Danny Brockless were their marksmen. Andy Smye responded for Wheldrake.
