A TWO-year-old boy was seriously injured in an accident in North Yorkshire.
The toddler was in a Peugeot 106 which was in collision with a blue Transit van on the A168, between Northallerton and Thirsk.
The child, and three other people in the Peugeot, who are all from the Northalleton area, and the Transit driver, were taken to Northallerton's Friarage Hospital. The toddler was later transferred to Middlesbrough General Hospital with "serious" injuries.
The accident happened at about 2.50pm on Saturday. Witnesses should ring 01609 783131.
Meanwhile, on the A59 a black Mitsubishi car travelling towards Harrogate was in collision with a white Nissan Bluebird pulling out of an access road to Donnelley's, at Flaxby Moor, Knaresborough, at 6.50pm on Saturday. The Mitsubishi driver and two occupants of the Nissan were taken to Harrogate District Hospital. One person was detained with "serious, but not life threatening" injuries.
