LAST time members of the star staff at Fenwick in York's Coppergate Centre came to my rescue (I had mislaid a vital carrier bag which was kept safe for me), I sent a note of appreciation to the store and received a charming acknowledgement. This time I would like to express my thanks in public.
Recently, after suddenly feeling unable to descend the escalator for fear of losing my balance, an understanding young blonde star - she may have been an angel - appeared, speaking kindly, to direct me to the lift.
So, I was able to choose from the spectacular display of Christmas decorations downstairs after all. I'm sure other readers could relate tales of angelical assistance!
