BATTLING members of York's Junior Judo Team achieved bronze medal success at the Area Judo Team Championships held in Sheffield.
It was the first major tournament for many of the squad who fought against some of the best players in Yorkshire.
Senior club coach Bev Clayton said: "We have a very young team with several players new to competitive judo.
"The entire team fought extremely well, showing confidence and technical ability. They certainly earned their medal placing."
