AFTER reading Chris Titley's witty column Who Cares if Apathy Rules (November 21), I came across the letter from William Dixon Smith in the same edition.
Mr Dixon Smith hits the nail perfectly on the head. "Contemptuous disregard" is a phrase to be conjured with regarding Mr Blair's attitude to people's rights and it suddenly became much clearer why this nation has allowed him to get away with it.
We are all becoming fully paid up members of Mr. Titley's organisation "SHAANT". Tony's absolute majority allows him to by-pass parliament on important issues too numerous to list, thus avoiding debate on many controversial subjects and it is about time we all woke up to the fact.
