OLD Malton and St John's College produced an exciting York and District FA Saturday Reserve Cup third round tie, with the Ryedale side snatching a 2-1 win.
All the goals came in the last 15 minutes - Phil Marwood putting Malton ahead on the break.
But the lead was short-lived as Tim Emerton equalised for the students when he latched on to a long clearance.
With only two minutes remaining Paul Boyes broke from midfield and cracked in a great shot into the bottom corner to give Old Malton the victory.
Wheldrake put in super display against Wigginton Grasshoppers, a team two divisions above them, before going down 1-0 in the last five minutes of extra time to a scrambled goal from David Turnbull.
Riccall also needed extra time to defeat Norton United 3-2 with Liam Bradley, Alex Simpson and Cormick O'Donnell netting for Riccall. Ricky Taylor and Phil Silvers replied for Norton.
Haxby could not raise a side for their tie against Malton Bacon Factory.
The only FA Senior Minor Cup match saw Pickering Town through to the semi-final when they defeated Easingwold Town 12-5. Their goals came from substitute Damon Cox (4), Stephen Baxter (3), Peter Horner (2), Alex MacRaey, Ben Moore and Garry Wardell.
In the FA Intermediate FA Cup, Rufforth U14s found no problems with the age difference when defeating Copmanthorpe U15s 5-1.
Chris Carr opened the scoring for Rufforth after only ten minutes, Jack Pinder headed in to make it 2-0.
Copmanthorpe reduced the arrears before Pinder netted his second and further goals by Anthony Evans and Daniel Bonner Rufforth through.
The U15s sides of Heworth and Rawcliffe were involved in a close tie with all the goals coming in the last ten minutes.
Rawcliffe's Dave Adams and Andrew Metcalfe put Rawcliffe ahead before Joell Macilveen pulld a goal back in the last minute.
Heworth U14s fared much better when goals from Ben Brannigan (3), Tamin Sherif (3) and Johnny Flint beat York Rovers 7-5. David McManus scored a hat-trick for Rovers whose two other goals came from Mark Masheder.
In the FA Acaster Steel Cup, Copmanthorpe built a 2-0 half-time lead over Heworth but were forced into extra time before winning 6-2.
Danny Sheehan and Adam Jones put Copmanthorpe in the driving seat but goals by Andy Bis and Leeham Wingfield and a superb penalty save by Danny Smith enabled Heworth to force extra time.
Copmanthorpe eventually ran out comfortable winners thanks to furthergoals by Sheehan, Jones, Danny Penrose and Tom Wilson.
Nestl Rowntree Pumas defeated Poppleton 2-1 after Oliver Ellwood and Luke Bosworth put them on top inside the opening 25 minutes. With ten minutes left a volley from James Atkinson reduced the deficit.
