I READ the excellent supplement about RR Donnelly Printers, in their Flaxby Moor premises, and noted its proximity to the A59 and A1 as a factor in choosing the site. I also noted the company's intention to be "green".
The nearby Harrogate to York railway line was visible in one photo. I wonder what might encourage Donnelly's, and other businesses similarly located, to consider transferring some freight operation from road to rail.
Also, a rail passenger halt might help to reduce car journeys along the A59 by former York site employees.
Now that really would help the environment.
