I'M positive that like me, many readers have been repelled by the BBC's derogatory approach in their portrayal of our ancestors in their culturally repressive documentary Blood Of The Vikings. What right has the BBC to make our forebears look like some dark-age Taliban when the historical record proves their genius in art, culture and commerce! Where is the sense of identity?
I view this documentary as a manifestation of the south's discomfiture at the tide of devolution sweeping the north.
