SOUTH Bank moved four points clear at the top of Division One after just edging out Wigginton Black Horse by the odd goal in five.
Mark Belleh, Nick Shaw and Dave Hyde were their marksmen with Jason Evans and Mark Symester on target for Black Horse.
Osbaldwick moved into second place after trouncing Haxby Town 7-0 on their own pitch. Andy Triffitt hit three, Anthony Luck bagged two and there was one apiece for Mark Triffitt and James Whallen.
Post Office moved into third thanks to two goals from Andy Tuite against bottom club Hammerton.
He opened the scoring in the first half and although Hammerton cancelled it out on 30 minutes he headed the winner from a free-kick ten minutes from time.
Andy Stephens, Rob Burton and Jamie Angelsea were on target for St Johns College as they defeated visitors Huby 3-0. These results leave both the promoted sides from last year - Huby and Hammerton - occupying the relegation places with a third of the season gone.
Copmanthorpe take over top spot in Division Two thanks to a 5-1 home victory over Easingwold.
After going one down, goals from Mark Flood, Lee Atkinson and Matthew Bastock put Copmanthorpe in the driving seat but it took two second-half penalties from Flood and Steve Illing to seal the points.
White Horse move off the bottom after sharing the points in a thrilling 4-4 draw at Hamilton Panthers.
Mark Moore, Craig Fletcher (2) and Simon Marshall netted for Panthers and Simon Ashton (2), Gary Rucklidge and Andy Taylor did likewise for White Horse.
Haxby & Wigginton were unable to find their early season form and went down to their third consecutive defeat at Stillington.
The home side went two-up through James Inman and Steve Johnson but an own goal in the 35th-minute brought Haxby & Wigginton back into the match. Despite second half pressure the Haxby side could not find the net and there was no further score.
Stamford Bridge halted Norton's mini-revival to win 4-2.
Nick Rank and Ian Constable put Stamford Bridge in front at home to Norton but John Dutton netted twice for the visitors to level matters..
John Stevens headed Stamford back in front midway through the second half and Nick Mennell made sure of the points for Stamford Bridge.
Rawcliffe Rangers and Sheriff Hutton met in Division Three for the second time in two weeks and once again the result finished 2-1 in favour of the latter.
Simon Roy put Sheriff Hutton in front after eight minutes and Brendan Tether equalised for Rawcliffe in the 35th-minute, but Mick Wilson coolly netted the winner with five minutes left with a delicate lob over the keeper. This result puts Sheriff Hutton five points clear at the top of the table.
Elvington Harriers and LNER Builders drew 1-1 with the Elvington keeper Tom Brownlow stealing the show.
Andy Foster netted for the Harriers in the 15th-minute and immediately after Brownlow saved a penalty but was unable to stop Jamie Williams equalising in the 30th-minute.
After the break The Builders had a goal disallowed and were thwarted on several occasions by Brownlow.
Moor Lane faded badly in the second half to lose 4-2 against Wilberfoss.
Goals from Paul Jones and Charlie Goodwin for The Lane and Mark Tomlinson and Lee Goodwin for Wilberfoss ensured scores were level at half-time, but after the interval Tomlinson and Lee Copeland sealed the win.
Selby RSSC reproduced their recent cup form with a resounding 6-1 home win over Wheldrake. Andrew Oldfield (2), Paul Stephenson (2), Darren Crossland and Stewart Briggs scoring their goals .
Hemingbrough won their first league game of the season with a 3-1 victory at Marton cum Grafton whose marksman was John Watson.
