I AM Tiger Woods! ESPN Final Round Golf is the first golf game for the Gameboy Advance.
It is clear from the start that the game has highly-developed graphics but when you start playing you realise it has fairly limited game options.
There is Tournament, where you battle it out against 50 other computer-controlled characters over 18 holes for money, which can then be used to unlock other courses; Match Play, where you duel against a computer or human partner; Stroke Play, in which you face up to three other players and finally Practice.
Another downfall of this game is the simple gameplay. This makes it straightforward to get into and master but then makes it effortless and easy to complete.
The game is well put-together in terms of controls, and after a few minutes it becomes second nature.
The data that surrounds the screen was also chosen very well. What appears to be masses of useless jargon at first becomes valuable to your success in the game; such as wind direction, height increase or decrease, width of swing etc. It is entertaining for a while, it soon becomes very tedious. Golf addicts may find it appealing.
