YORK Acorn ladies bounced back to winning ways, despite not playing to their best, when overcoming Crofton 18-12 in the Women's ARL division one.
Failure to keep the ball meant they were unable to turn their superiority into more points and had to settle for tries by Sara Watson, Yvette Shepherd (2) and Nicola Parry, who also kicked a goal.
Key performances came from evergreen duo Gill Blackburn and Sasha Hilton along with Nicola Parry and Bev Langan on her return to the side.
