Fulford Road WMC 'A' continue to lead Focus Fireplaces York and District Table Tennis League division one after their 8-2 win over Coneysthorpe 'B'.
John Farmery scored three wins for Fulford Road WMC.
Sessions 'A', in second place, beat INL 'B' 10-0.
John Wooldridge scored three wins as Bootham Conservative Club 'B' beat INL 'B' 6-4.
Bootham Conservative Club 'A' have climbed in the table after beating York RI 'A' 6-4 and then Poppleton 'A' 7-3.
The highlight of the Poppleton match was the clash between Steve Cooper and Mark Smith.
Smith's power play was well matched by Cooper, whose quickness around the table always had Smith guessing.
Some terrific backhands gave Smith a 21-16 17-21 21-18 win. A missed serve late in the game gave the match a little more edge.
Division two leaders Poppleton 'B' beat INL 'C' 7-3. Sessions 'B' are in second place after their 8-2 win over Bootham Conservative Club 'C'. Keith Elsegood and Terry Nicholson each won three.
Dave Rawlings and Mike Cooper were unbeaten as Poppleton 'B' beat Nestl Rowntree 'A' 9-1. John Elliott won three for York RI 'D' but they lost 6-4 to BT 'A'.
Ed Wardman returned to form by being unbeaten for the first time this season to steer Fulford Rd WMC 'B' to a 7-3 win over York RI 'C'.
BT 'B' are the new leaders in division three. They drew 5-5 with Coneysthorpe 'C', whose Malcolm Haswell won three, and then BT'B' team's 9-1 win over York Police took them to the top, Jim Stevenson and Brian Milner each won three.
Poppleton 'C' are in second place, after a 7-3 win over Poppleton 'D'. Jack Kaprian and Chris Armstrong were again unbeaten.
Carole Wright and Colin Dickson were unbeaten for Fulford Road WMC 'C' in an 8-2 win over Poppleton 'E'.
York RI 'F' are top of division four after their 8-2 win over Norwich Union 'B'. Dennis Chapman won three for RI.
Today is the closing date to enter the Shepherd Cup. Entries should be sent to David Atkinson, whose address is on the entry form.
