OCCASIONALLY you just happen to be in the right place to witness magic.
Such a place was a pub in Haxby last Saturday night when we lucky few were gathered to celebrate 30 years of The Foresters folk group. How we sang, cheered and clapped, fondly remembering the Seventies and Eighties, pie and pea suppers, and beers we had supped, The Barge, wallpaper song sheets and Uncle Joe's mint balls.
This popular group must have raised thousands of pounds for various local charities and given so much entertainment, pleasure and laughter to so many in the York area.
Keep on rocking!
