BILL Collier won the Hammond Trophy match, which attracted 55 competitors to a coloured river Ouse between Redhouse and Poppleton on Sunday.
As expected, odd better fish that proved decisive. Collier (Union) won from the Little Sandbeds at Killingbeck.
Fishing a groundbait feeder with maggot and redworm on the hook he bagged a brace of slabs plus a skimmer and some roach for his 12lb 12oz.
John Cyrowski (Armley Angling) was in the roughfield, where he feeder fished dendrobena worms for two bream and 10lb 8oz.
A single barbel of 8lb 6oz from peg three at Redhouse was enough to give Keith Lancaster (Glen) third spot.

It was tough going on the Ouse at Hunters Lodge the previous day as only a handful of the 42 anglers in the Leeds open match managed to break 1lb on a cold and swollen river.
Terry Morgan scored yet another win on his favourite river. The Marsh Tackle sponsored ace drew plum peg 222 and sat it out on feeder and maggot for one bite from a decisive bream of 6lb.
Tony Hewson (Armley Angling) drew the relative slack of peg 218, where he whipped out 2lb 3oz of tiny bleak fishing shallow with maggot.

Dave Wright (Armley Angling) scored again at his favourite venue, Carpvale, to win the 23 peg midweek open match with 54lb 4oz. The tackle shop boss bagged16 carp on pole and meat at 10 metres from peg 17.
Other leading weights: Bernard Guy (West Park) 50-2-0;Will Smith (York) 28-0-0 and Dave Spence (Leeds) 25-2-0.
Wayne Nolan (Leeds Juniors) continued his winning run at Wheldrake's Raker Lakes complex by winning Sunday's 24-peg match on Horseshoe Lake with 53lb 5oz. The 16-year-old rising star netted carp to pole and maggot at 16 metres from peg 14.
