SCOTS abroad are turning to York in their droves for their supply of haggis for the festive season.

Expatshopping.com, the York-based internet "supermarket" which provides the 13.5 million British expats around the world with their favourite foods from home, has concluded a deal with the world-renowned haggis producer, Macsween of Edinburgh. The award-winning firm, which has its office and warehouse in Osbaldwick, has added a bit of "och aye" to the other 5,000 items available from its website and catalogues. The haggis is part of a DIY party pack which seems to have driven far-flung haggis-hungry Highlanders wild. It also includes quality Scottish salmon and cheese, as well as traditional Scottish music on CDs and tartan hats.

Expatshopping.com reports that Scots have been placing orders from as far away as Trinidad, India and Sudan.
