RAMPANT Selby stormed to a brilliant 42-19 victory at Sheffield Tigers to keep the pot boiling in Yorkshire One.

No side remains unbeaten in the division and no one has yet been able to steal a march on any of their rivals.

Had Tigers won they would have shared top spot with Hull but they were always struggling in a game dominated by Selby's pack.

Selby grabbed a fifth minute lead through scrum half David Bramley but the home side were soon on level terms when their stand-off cut through some loose tackling by the visitors.

David Batty's penalty put Selby ahead and they increased their lead with a neat try by inside centre Andy Bennett.

Selby's forwards then set up their third try as prop Andy Pocklington peeled off a ruck and maul to crash over from close range to make it 18-5.

A great run by winger Matthew Smith saw him go under the posts leaving Batty with a simple conversion to stretch Selby's lead to 25-5.

Tigers pulled a converted try back through their stand-off to trim the arears but Pocklington scored a replica try of his first effort to re-establish Selby at 30-12. The home hooker then went in for a converted try but Selby nipped any comeback in the bud when their close range tap penalty move earned a try for Wright Phillips. Batty converted.

Selby saved the best from last when the powerful Tony Godfrey, who had come on for Martin Barnsley, made a break and the ball went through the hands of Tony Bennett, Toby Pemberton and Tim Horner before Godfrey took it over the line to complete a great win.
