Pickering snooker professional Paul Davison lost 5-2 in the fourth round of the Benson and Hedges Championship at Mansfield yesterday to Terry Murphy, ranked 35 in the world.
Davison won the first frame but after being 40 ahead in the second he lost what he said today was probably the key frame.
He went 4-1 down but hit back to win the sixth with a 55 clearance. Murphy, from Kidderminster, is one of the 48 players coming to York for the UK Championship at the Barbican Leisure Centre from December 3 to 16.
