Errand Boy can deliver the goods on time at Aintree tomorrow.

The smart gelding, trained near Bingley by Sue Smith, made a bright start to the season at Market Rasen recently when finishing second to Spring Margot.

A high-class hurdler two years ago, when he won four races, Errand Boy suffered a blank campaign last season, but now looks ready and able to resume the winning trail. Watch out for him in the Doubleprint Novices' Chase.

Tim Easterby, who may saddle the exciting Barton over fences at Wetherby next Friday, is represented at the home of the Grand National by Knighted in the Bonusprint Handicap Hurdle.

The five-year-old enjoyed a fruitful campaign last season and, as he is at his best over three miles with give in the ground, conditions are right on his comeback.

Trainer Jonjo O'Neill has enjoyed a wonderful baptism since switching from Cumbria to Gloucestershire during the summer and the former champion jockey has a useful performer on his hands in the shape of Joss Naylor, who goes for the Bonusfilm Novices' Hurdle.

The easy winner of a bumper at Carlisle recently, Joss Naylor has the potential to make a high-class hurdler. He should prove hard to beat.

The £20,000 Tripleprint Handicap Chase is the feature race at Aintree and it would be unwise to underestimate the chances of Gortmore Mews, a horse considered by trainer Ferdy Murphy to have excellent prospects of enjoying a fine campaign.

Paul Nicholls has his team in sparkling form and the Somerset trainer, likely to launch a strong raid on Wetherby's two-day meeting next weekend, looks the man to follow at Wincanton tomorrow.

Nicholls has a host of fancied runners, including Cenkos, who promises to take plenty of beating in the £35,000 Barbara King Memorial Desert Orchid Chase.

Nicholls and stable-jockey Timmy Murphy can also hit the target with Inn Antique (1-20), Just In Business (1-50), Tobago (2-20) and Il Capitano (4-00).

At Towcester, Max Pride is napped to lift the European Fleet Intermediate Handicap Chase.

Trainer Robin Dickin has a high opinion of this lightly-raced six-year-old, who was given a confidence-booster over hurdles on his recent reappearance on this course.

In finishing a close second to Fast Lane, Max Pride underlined his well-being and put himself on track to resume his promising chasing career. He is expected to go well.

Henry Daly is just starting to click into gear with his horses and his Island Mist (3-15) makes plenty of appeal ridden by the under-rated Mark Bradburne.
