CRISIS club Scarborough know that victory at Whitby Town tomorrow could provide them with a financial lifeline.
The winners will receive £20,000 for progressing to the first round proper of the competition.
The cash-strapped Seasiders, bottom of the Nationwide Conference, crashed at Hereford last week by 6-0 while UniBond League side Whitby had a morale-boosting win at Droylsden.
But upbeat Boro boss Ian Kerr said: "The players have been very positive this week and I am confident that their attitude is right. This is the ideal game for us to show our character and bounce back."
Kerr still has selection problems as Steve Brodie is missing with a calf strain, but he does welcome back Shaun Rennison after a three-match ban to bolster his defence.
Kerr is thinking of resting teenage wing-back Peter Fitzsimmons and playing the lively David Pounder.
There is added spice to the game as former Scarborough striker Jamie Burt has impressed at Whitby since walking out of the McCain Stadium two weeks ago.
The tie is not all-ticket and the Whitby club is expecting a crowd in excess of 1,500, with the Boro fans being told to use the Upgang Lane entrance to the ground.
Scarborough: Woods, Atkinson, Jones, Faure, Rennison, Pounder, Elliott, Blunt, Stoker, Windross, Stamp. Subs: Newton, Jewell, Swales, Fitzsimmons, Keegan.
