CARLTON Towers batsman Stuart Coleman was the runaway winner of the Hunters Estate Agent York and District Senior Cricket League's final monthly batting award for the season.

His unbeaten 204 against first division champions Beverley Town was the highest individual innings of the season.

While being on the receiving end of the season's highest individual innings, Beverley Town had compensation when Sean Lightowler took the bowling honours with his 9 for 61 against Sessay.

Coleman's innings was one of 91 centuries scored in the season, a total only exceeded in 1999 when 98 three figure scores were recorded, was a record for the first division and has only been exceeded once in the history of the league.
