SETH Johnson, Leeds United's new £7million signing from Derby, could make his debut for the club at Bootham Crescent next Tuesday.
Manager David O'Leary is to assess Johnson's fitness before deciding whether to give the midfielder or left back his debut against Chelsea on Sunday.
Johnson seems more likely to be on the bench so could be earmarked for his first Leeds start against Bolton Wanderers' Reserves at York on Tuesday.
His signing took O'Leary's spending to £86million in three years at Elland Road.
