NO request is beyond York's dot com dynamos. When asked to supply farm fresh, free range Yorkshire eggs for Brits in Hong Kong, the boys behind the expat shopping web site got cracking. They laid their hands on the right sort of eggs, then drew up a journey that involved scrambling two aircraft. Result: more happy expatriates.
The journey from Thirsk henhouse to Far East breakfast table takes three days. No doubt the eggs would arrive even quicker - but it takes two of those days for the delivery van to get out of York.
