The people's racehorse, Evening Press, is set to go to Redcar a week on Friday to compete in her second-ever race.
There is a remote chance the two-year-old North Yorkshire filly will get to run at York this Friday but Malton-based trainer Tim Etherington believes the ground may be too soft for the youngster to shine.
She has now been pencilled in for a six-furlong £4,800 maiden fillies' event scheduled to run at 2.40 at Redcar on Friday, October 19.
Press - leased off Etherington by readers of the award-winning newspaper - made her debut at Newcastle last month, finishing a respectable ninth of 16.
