THE flooding season is here and I wonder why the council has not really done anything to help potential victims? I have heard a lot talk about dredging the river and it is said this will help cope with all the extra rain water.
I have been told York never got flooded when the river used to get dredged, so why doesn't the council start dredging again?
It may cost a lot of money but isn't it worth trying to prevent all the devastation caused by flooding?
