PARENTS and residents are to get their official say on the planned mergers of two pairs of schools in York after councillors gave the next stage the go-ahead.
Public notices announcing the proposed mergers of Hob Moor Infants and Junior Schools in Acomb, and Upper Poppleton Junior and Infants Schools are to be published shortly. They will signal the start of a two-month consultation period in which members of the public will be able to register their views before a final decision is taken on the move by the city's School Organisation Committee. The City of York Council's executive gave the go-ahead to the next stage of the process.
