HELLO folks, Evening Press here.
I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked at my York Evening Press on Tuesday - I thought yours truly had won three awards.
Alas, my star qualities have been overlooked for now by the judges, with the newspaper itself picking up the accolades of Daily Newspaper of the Year, Photographer of the Year and Website of the Year.
But my initial disappointment has been softened my the news I could be racing in front of my home track at York races next Friday.
Depending on the going, I could be set to step out on Knavesmire in front of you, my adoring fans, for a six-furlong race worth £10,500.
It is early days yet, and my trainer Tim Etherington is keeping the options open - but things are looking good in training, and I can't think of anything better than beating the top horses in my own backyard.
However, Tim has also looked at the possibility of me running in a six-furlong fillies race in Redcar a week later.
Whatever race we opt for, you can be sure I'll be raring to go and show you what I'm made of.
Regards,
Evening Press
