YORK City today announced an injection of fresh blood in the boardroom with Josh Easby named as a new director at Bootham Crescent.
Lifelong City fan Easby, 47, takes his place alongside chairman Douglas Craig and directors Barry Swallow, Colin Webb and soon to retire John Quickfall with immediate effect.
Easby's appointment should prove a popular one with the fans.
He is the brains behind the There's Only One Arthur Bottom newsletter, which is received by more than 600 City fans around the world, and the popular website of the same name.
Acomb-born and a former pupil of Archbishop Holgate's Grammar School, Easby emigrated to New Zealand in 1970.
He and his wife returned to England in 1999 and he is currently senior executive with the UK's largest commercial radio operator, GWR Group Plc.
Quickfall announced his intention to retire from the board of the football club last month.
