TICKET sales for an estate agents' charity bash in York have been mirroring the booming housing market.
Only a few of the original 180 tickets are left for the Hunters The Estate Agents black-tie ball at the Merchant Adventurers' Hall on Friday, October 19.
The event, in aid of St Leonard's Hospice, York, and Martin House Hospice for Children, Boston Spa, will feature York band Huge and a prized-packed grand raffle.
Andy Galloway, from Hunters, said: "We are delighted at the way the tickets have sold. It is going to be a special night for guests and for Martin House and St Leonard's."
Janet Morley, the St Leonard's fundraising manager, said: "It looks like Hunters The Estate Agents didn't have any trouble selling their first ball. We are very grateful to the organisers and their supporters for their efforts on behalf of St Leonard's."
Organisers are still hoping to hear from more businesses who can help sponsor the event or donate raffle prizes.
