THE future of York City top scorer Michael Proctor should be decided tomorrow.
Proctor's current loan agreement from Sunderland ends after Saturday's home game with Exeter but both the player and manager Terry Dolan have indicated their desire to extend the deal by another month initially.
It is in City's interest to extend the agreement before Saturday.
Any deal arranged next week will count as a fresh loan and eats away at the limited number of loan agreements available to the Minstermen in a season.
Proctor, who celebrated his 21st birthday today, has scored four times for City, including a brace in Saturday's 3-1 win at Lincoln City.
Like Proctor, Dutchman Michael Evans' future should also be decided by the end of the week.
Evans, signed on a month-long contract just prior to the 4-0 defeat at Hull on September 8, has seen his hopes of landing a permanent deal hindered by a hamstring injury.
Since coming off the bench against the Tigers and featuring for 45 minutes against Luton, the ex-VVV Venlo striker has not featured.
Former City goalkeeper Nick Culkin could be poised to face Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers after Livingston manager Jim Leishman opened talks with Manchester United in a bid to sign him on loan.
The Scottish Premier League new boys' number one Javier Broto faces a long stretch on the sidelines after breaking his leg against Hibernian.
Culkin spent last season on loan at Bristol Rovers, then in Division Two. His chances of first team football at Old Trafford have been further limited by United's acquisition of Northern Ireland international Roy Carroll.
Another ex-City junior Chris Hogg takes centre stage for England Under-17s tonight in a friendly against Spain Bristol City. Centre-back Hogg joined Ipswich Town this summer.
