New Earswick All Blacks under-14s came away from Rodley Rockets with a fine 40-0 victory.
The defence worked hard to keep a clean sheet and man of the match centre Jack Goodacre used his pace to score four tries, including a penalty try.
Winger Karl Harton touched down twice following good support play, while Jack Billett powered his way over. Danny Pfluger converted six goals out of seven.
York Acorn under-18s got their season off to a good start with a hard earned 7-4 win at Castleford Lock Lane, secured by a late try from second rower Paul Payne.
Loose forward Craig Fox added the conversion.
In a defence-dominated game, the only points of a tight first period also came from the boot of Fox, who broke the deadlock with a field goal. Good performances for Acorn came from John Tattersfield, Tom Lyons, Andy Gargan and Matthew Irving.
York Acorn under-16's bounced back to winning ways with a fine 28-19 home win over a good Oulton outfit.
After a slow start Acorn took control of the game and always looked to have the upper hand, thanks chiefly to the half-back play of scrum-half Kevin Brayshaw and stand-off Chris Tinker, who received excellent support from second rower Marc Brookes.
Acorn's points came from tries by Tinker (3), Alan Denton and Danny Caldwell. Full-back James Sanderson kicked four goals.
A lacklustre show by York Acorn under-13s enabled hosts Walton to register a 36-22 win.
After taking an early lead through full-back Matthew Gray, Acorn were unable to play to their best. Their other points came from tries by Gray, centre Lee Spain, prop and man of the match Chris Richardson and scrum-half Joe Budd with winger Scott Jackson adding a goal.
York Acorn under-14s continued their impressive start to the season with a thrilling 24-20 win at Churwell.
Acorn started with a try in the opening minutes from in-form Jason Smith, Lee Acaster adding the extras.
Acorn managed to keep their noses in front taking a 12-4 lead with Smith's second try goaled by Adam Sellars.
A long range hat-trick try by Smith and a cleverly worked try by Joe Clark, both goaled by Acaster, saw them open up a 24-8 lead.
York Acorn under-12s never recovered from conceding 16 points in the opening six minutes and lost 34-6 at East Leeds. Oliver Harrison's try was converted by David Leeke.
Against an experienced Churwell side, Acorn under-11s put up a spirited showing before losing 28-6. James Bromwich was man of the match award, while Gary Sissons got both try and goal.
York Acorn under-10s ran out 16-12 winners at East Leeds side, where man Stuart Leeke joined Ben Johnson (2) as try-scorers. Liam Wilkinson and Anthony Chilton got a goal apiece.
A feisty game at hosts' Heworth under-15s saw them beat Doncaster Toll Bar 46-4.
Heworth maintained their composure to score at regular intervals.
Hooker Rob Ainsworth was the man of the match, while full-back Tom Holden made several try-saving tackles and looked safe throughout.
Heworth's points came from tries by Marcus Allan (3), Matt Derry (2), Sam Johnson (2), Sean Coulson and Chris Taylor with conversions shared by Paul Thompson (2), Steve Jepson, Allan and Coulson.
A superb display by Heworth under-13s saw the young Villagers defeat hosts Upton 18-14.
They trailed 8-0 at half-time, but upped the tempo to score three good converted tries with Upton managing only one in reply.
Try-scorers were Dave Richmond (2) and Imi Lewis, with Ben Potter adding three goals.
