THE search was continuing today for a Malton pensioner who went missing from his home more than a week ago.
Concern is growing for the health of Ken Perrin, aged 71, who suffers from emphysema.
His blue Nissan Micra was found abandoned at Howe Bridge, on the A169 Malton to Pickering road, last week. It was unlocked and the keys were still in the ignition. He was last seen by family on Tuesday last week - he was reported missing days later after his newsagent told relatives he had not been in to collect his daily paper.
Police divers and the Scarborough and District Search and Rescue Team have carried out extensive searches of the Rivers Rye and Derwent and the surrounding area.
Police are urging anyone who has seen Mr Perrin to contact Malton Police on 01723 509612.
