Natalie springs to cherished accolade...
NATALIE Cooper, the games captain at Queen Margaret's School in Escrick, has been named as the York and District Schools' Athletics Association sports girl of the year.
The talented 17-year-old has excelled at a multitude of sports, including swimming, netball and hockey to win the Wilmott Trophy.
But it is in athletics where upper sixth form pupil Natalie has enjoyed her biggest success, representing both the county and the English Schools' team.
Jill Norman, at Queen Margaret's School, said: "It is really good for Natalie to win this award with her being our games captain.
"She is a real all-rounder when it comes to sport."
