THE family of a pensioner with emphysema who has gone missing say they are "extremely worried" about his welfare.
Ken Perrin, 71, from Peasy Hill, in Malton, was last seen by his family on Tuesday last week.
He was reported missing on Friday, and his car - a blue Nissan Micra - was later found abandoned in a lay-by on the A169 by Howe Bridge.
His sister-in-law, Doreen Perrin, said today the whole family were worried about where he was.
""He was well, and it was only when we were told by his newsagent a couple of days later that he hadn't been in to collect his paper that we started worrying."
"We just want him back home safe, but at the moment we don't know what to expect."
Mr Perrin is 5ft 5ins tall with slight grey hair. He wears glasses.
