COSTUMES from films such as Elizabeth, The Madness Of King George and Star Wars take a starring role in Harrogate this week. The clothes are part of a display of fashions through the ages at the Fashion and Embroidery exhibition, running in the Flower Hall of the Great Yorkshire Showground from Friday to Sunday. The event will also feature a variety of talks, fashion shows and demonstrations.There will be more than 50 exhibitors showing the latest ranges in fabric, embroidery kits, sewing machines, books, lace-making threads, art materials and lots more. Tickets are available on the door and cost £8.50 for adults, £7.50 concessions with children under-16 free if accompanied by an adult. The exhibition will be open from 9.30am until 5.30pm and 5pm on Sunday.
