Beryl Glover included three tons as Fulfordgate put their fingertips on the York White Rose Ladies League division one trophy.

Karen Reasbeck competently rounded off a convincing 6-1 victory for Fulfordgate over Tap and Spile.

Heather Beadnell's fine 24-darter inspired Sun, the only other team with a chance of the championship, to crush Clarence WMC 6-1. But Fulfordgate need just three points from tonight's match with Burton WMC to definitely clinch the title.

Despite Milly Mountain's 24 darts, Crescent went down 5-2 to Burton WMC whose best performer was Jane Barnes.

Maureen Tindall shot a tremendous 20 darter, but to no avail as Railway Institute were derailed by Six Bells 5-2, Jan Clarke securing the victory. New York needed late wins from Carole Footit and Marion Greenwood to see off Magnet 4-3.

Elaine Candler and Janet Curry combined to take Huntington's only game win as Collingwood moved into the top spot in division two. Bumper ran out 5-2 winners over Tankard.

Coach were leading 3-2 but inspired by an excellent 18-darter from Amanda Cooper Crystal Palace went on to win 4-3 and dent Coach's title aspirations. The challenge for the division two title is now a two-horse race between Collingwood and Bumper.

Carol Perrett produced two tons in her singles win for Phoenix 'A' and also hit two in the deciding pairs game with Babs Harrison to secure victory over Clifton in York John Smith's Ladies League division one.

Carole Layne (140, 135, 100 for 23) and Roz Kerr (121, 100, 100 for 24) spurred Brigadier to a 6-3 win against Slip. Michelle Britton was a double ton scorer.

Clare White slotted a 90 finish as Leeman 'B' proved too strong for Holgate WMC in division two.

Cath Barker and Jackie Ridall gave Burton WMC a sound start but Half Moon woke up and won the next six.

Brown Cow stampeded into a 3-0 lead but Cygnet won the remainder while Sue Richardson closed on bull for Severus against Shepherd.

Sharon Rishworth closed on 105 in the division three match against Jubilee but it came too late to save Leeman.

Tang Hall WMC held a 4-2 lead over Shepherd, who then produced their better darts and had Pauline Dale and their captain, Ann Wood securing a win.

Captains should note registration sheets must now be forwarded to the secretary. New signings will not be accepted on result sheets.

York John Smith's Mixed League annual meeting is at Crescent WMC on Friday (8pm).

Starting on Friday (8pm) and for the next three weeks, Escrick Social Club is holding an open treble-board individual event, sponsored by John Smith's Brewery.

There is £500 prize money. Entry is £2. Finals night is November 3.
