Fielding a changed side from last season, Acomb men's 1sts struggled for the first 15 minutes to put some passes together.
Only a a tight defence kept Adel at bay before Acomb took the lead half way through with a fine solo goal by Adrian Nye.
In the second half Acomb took control and two goals from John Cooper and one from Sam Blackburn put the game beyond Adel.
Adrian Nye grabbed two more goals to complete his hat-trick before Adel pulled back a consolation.
Goals flowed late on for Acomb men's II to rout Normanby Park 4-0, three of the strikes posted in the final eight minutes.
For Acomb Ladies' 1sts, the power flowed in the opening half to batter Bedale.
Once Kerry Rafton gave them the lead in the tenth minute there was no way back as they surged to a 5-0 half-time advantage through a further brace from Rafton and two from Anne Hagyard. Sarah Clay's solo effort sealed the rout in the second-half.
