Selby Town remain unbeaten in the premier division of the Northern Counties East League after a battling 1-1 draw against Sheffield.
Selby made a good start, taking the lead through a Shane Forrest header after just seven minutes.
But despite dominating the first period for long periods they failed to increase their lead and Sheffield pulled level through Craig Owen on the stroke of half-time.
Sheffield had more of the game in the second half, forcing young goalkeeper Craig Code into three superb saves, but Selby held firm for a share of the spoils.
The point sees Selby remain in second place, level with Brodsworth and two points behind leaders Hallam, but the Robins have the luxury of a game in hand on both their rivals.
Tadcaster Albion put their poor run of form in division one behind them with a 4-2 victory over winless Maltby Main.
Tadcaster went into the game with just one win from their opening four league matches, but an inspired display from front-man Darren Wilson saw them on their way.
Wilson tormented the Maltby defence to finish with a well-taken hat-trick, while strike partner Kevin Duckworth added to the visitors' misery with a strike of his own.
Main did hit back with late efforts from Kenny Clark and Johnny Noble, but it was not enough to prevent Tadcaster sealing their second win of the season.
The victory sees Tadcaster move up to tenth in the table.
In the West Yorkshire League, Nestl Rowntree's premier division season got a "much-needed shot in the arm" with a 4-0 victory over Nostell Miners Welfare.
Lee Bond scored twice, while Steve Ward and Brent Terry also netted to see Nestl, who started the season as many side's favourites to win the title, pick up their fifth of the campaign.
"The match was a lot closer than the scoreline suggests, our keeper made a number of good saves," said assistant-manager Jon Reynolds.
"But it is a much-needed shot in the arm and hopefully we can build from here with a victory over Ripon City Magnets at home on Saturday."
In division one York RI suffered a day they will want to forget, crumbling to a crushing 8-1 defeat at home to Tadcaster Magnet Sports.
