THE FLAGS are out for members of the St Andrew's Church Lads' and Church Girls' Brigade, who are celebrating after raising more than £2,000 in their summer fete.
The brigade, based in Huntington, York, has raised a total of £2,344.31 through teamwork and hard work and the money has been split between the brigade and Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Susie Fothergill, community fundraising manager for the charity, said: "Everyone put a huge amount of work into raising this tremendous sum. Special thanks to all at the brigade, and thanks also to all who supported the event which took place in Orchard Park, Huntington, in July, either by buying raffle tickets, donating prizes, or coming along on the day.
"It's great to know that funds will benefit two such local causes."
