THE biggest pumpkin ever seen at a horticultural show at Slingsby was on display in the village hall on Saturday.
The giant vegetable, grown by veteran competitor Ken Etty, weighed in at 278lb.
Organiser Keith Dixon said: "The quality of entries this year was fantastic.
"This was certainly the biggest pumpkin ever - we've had them over 250lb before, but we've never had one this big."
