Outtrigger is a fast-paced shoot-em-up similar to the likes of Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament.
You have the choice of first or third-person view and the game boasts full online play.
You are sent to a training facility to improve your skills to become an elite soldier. After mastering your skills, you take on the role of Jay, Alain, Lina or Talon - each with their own unique attributes.
Arcade Mode gives you four training ranks to work through, while Versus Mode gives you multiplayer action on a split-screen, with up to 20 levels on offer.
Mission Mode offers a progression, taking you through different ranks and unlocking new characters and over 45 levels.
Network Battle is where the game really stands out, offering full online play for up to six players, giving all Dreamcast users the ability to compete online.
The game has excellent graphics and is very fluid at 60 frames per second.
The characters look great and move very smoothly throughout the game. There is also a wide variety of arenas, some wide open spaces and others complex rooms, but all excellent.
This is an excellent game and well worth adding to your Dreamcast collection.
