YE cannae change the laws of fizzics!
Star Trek's Scotty would approve of this space combat game because, rather than hopping in the cockpit of a fighter and slewing it around space with absolutely no respect to Mr Newton's bright ideas, this game forces you to think as a true astronaut would.
How does it do this? Well, thrust is applied separately from the attitude of your craft. Turn your craft to one side and it'll still keep moving with momentum in the direction it was first going. It's only when you apply thrust in an opposite direction that you stop that momentum.
It may sound confusing and it does take some getting used to, but it does mean that when you attack the huge capital ships in the game, your strafing runs become so much easier.
Add to that a cracking plot and quite eye-boggling graphics and you've got a winner that comes close to rivalling the majestic Freespace series.
Not to be missed.
