Rawcliffe came from behind to defeat Wigginton Grasshoppers 3-1 in the FA Senior Minor Cup.

Wigginton were on top in the first half and deservedly took the lead when Chris Fenwick caught the Rawcliffe defence napping for a well-taken goal.

However ten minutes into the second half Peter Carney rifled home an and further goals were to follow by Luke Roberts and Adam Chappelow for Rawcliffe to progress through into the second round.

Pickering Town took the lead after 15 minutes in their game against Tadcaster Albion when Matthew Hood scored from inside the penalty area. Stephen Baxter made it 2-0 just before the break with a well-taken shot and in the second half Hood completed his hat trick to make the final score 4-0 to Pickering.

Selby Olympia hit Poppleton United for six with goals from Nicky Clarke (3), Neil Earl (2) and Jordan Lindley without reply.

The FA Intermediate Minor Cup tie between Strensall and Brooklyn produced a titanic battle with no goals coming in normal time.

The same pattern followed in extra time and with penalties looming the tie was settled by Brooklyn's Sam Keyworth with a close range shot to send the Norton team into the next round.

Elvington Harriers put up a tremendous rearguard action to keep the much fancied Rufforth to a 3-1 scoreline with the Elvington goal coming from Joel Stilborn.

New team York Rovers built up a 2-0 lead against Corinthians with goals from Mark Masheder and Danny Leaf but in the second period Corinthians fought back with Arthur Broadbent reducing the arrears with a left-foot shot into the bottom corner and it was only a first class performance by the York Rovers' keeper Adam Wilson that denied Corinthians an equaliser.
