IDENTICAL twins Matthew and Simon Dawson have made history by being appointed the head and deputy head chorister of the Minster Boys at York Minster.
The boys, aged 12, from Wigginton, were appointed by the Master of the Music, Philip Moore, and admitted into their new posts by the Dean of York, The Very Reverend Raymond Furnell at a special ceremony.
It is the latest accolade for the talented twins, who are in their final year at the Minster School. They have already been awarded Duncombe Badges, which are silver medals on a blue ribbon, given for merit.
