FOLLOWING our successful campaign against BT Cellnet's planning proposal, helped in no small way by the support of the Evening Press, we thank your political reporter Adam Nichols for his balanced and well-written articles.
We express our gratitude to our MP, John Grogan, for his total support, to Fulford Parish Council, in particular Robert Briggs for his encouragement and to Mick Brighton our ward councillor, whose help was much appreciated.
Our Green Party member Andy D'Agorne gave his time and research so generously, our speaker John Heawood outlined our case to perfection and Richard Van Der Heever, our fellow campaigner in Acomb, lent his support. We also thank members of our community who wrote letters to the council, signed our petition, delivered leaflets or helped in any way.
Voter apathy?
What voter apathy?
Single issue politics is alive and well and living here in Fulford.
Congratulations everyone, there is to be no mast at the Heslington/Broadway junction.
