ANOTHER big name is confirmed at York Barbican Centre. Pulp, whose chart hits defined the Nineties, are to appear there in October.
Eccentric frontman Jarvis Cocker famously paraded his bottom at the Brit Awards to protest at Michael Jackson's saintly appearance; he alone ensures Pulp are always worth seeing.
But then, the Barbican has a reputation for booking must-see acts. From The League of Gentlemen to Mel C to Tom Jones, it is providing great entertainment for the people of York.
We must hope that any new owners can keep up this momentum.
